February is a great month to visit Charleston for those not fans of extreme heat and humidity. Even though it’s a quieter time of the year, there are many fun activities for couples, children and adventurers to travel to the Holy City.

1. Celebrate Black Heritage Month at the Color of Music

2. Eat oysters at the Lowcountry Oyster Festival
This Sunday, February 6, check out everything the ocean has to offer, talking about oysters. The Lowcountry Festival of Oysters features more than 60,000 pounds cooked in different ways. Highlights include live music by Andrew Beam and the Bluestone Ramblers, raw oyster eating and shucking contests, wine, a selection of domestic and imported beers, and different types of food for children. 3. Celebrate love with chocolate and wine
Spend an afternoon at Deep Water Vineyard, taking part in their first tasting event of the year. With Valentine’s theme, ticket holders will experience a chocolate and wine tasting. Learn more about it here.
4. Visit a lighthouse

5. Play some golf
