South Carolina is home to incredible natural surroundings. From the mountains to the coast, many waterfalls in the state are perfect for visiting during spring and summer.
This waterfall is located close to Sapphire, North Carolina. It has a fantastic trail that will take you approximately 4 hours to walk, and it’s perfect for any time of the year.
Known as one of South Carolina’s underrated waterfalls, Opossum Creek Falls is breathtaking. Take the trail through the Sumter National Forest and enjoy the views!
Spoonauger Falls is located near Mountain Rest, South Carolina. It takes less than 20 minutes of a hike to get there. Dogs are welcome, but they have to be on a leash.
Yellow Branch is beautiful, especially during the rainy season. It’s a 50-foot waterfall that can be accessed through Walhalla’s Yellow Branch Picnic Area.
You’ll need someone to pinch you when you get to Twin Falls! The trail to the waterfall passes through a nature preserve and is open to the public every day from dawn to dusk. It parallels Reedy Cove Creek.
Issaqueena Falls is located in Oconee County, and it’s one of their most popular destinations. It’s accessible from inside Stumhouse Park, just follow the signs and spend a day out with the whole family!
