1. Restaurant Week
This is the perfect opportunity to enjoy Lowcountry cuisine at different restaurants. Eateries from all over Charleston and neighboring communities will participate with special prix fixe menus, new options, and takeout. You can find more information here.

2. Folly Beach Polar Bear Plunge
This yearly event will take place at the beachside at the Tides Hotel. It will feature a costume contest and a plunge into the “chilly” Atlantic. All attendees are encouraged to wear costumes inspired by their favorite Bill Murray character.

The plunge is free and will take place at 1:00 pm, so be there or be square!

3. ArtWalk
Art Walks are held the first Friday of each month from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Dozens of galleries participate in an evening of open houses with wine, food, and art. Some of the participating galleries are:

4. Charleston Marathon
The Charleston Marathon celebrates its 12th anniversary in 2022. Run through the Holy City! You can still register on their official website.

5. Brunch at Ruby Sunshine
Have a very New Orleanian breakfast at Ruby Sunshine, serving brunch all day! They just opened a new restaurant in Charleston, and their delicious menu and boozy options won’t disappoint!

6. Fairy House Festival
Spend a day full of fun for children, families, gardeners, and nature lovers at the Palmetto Island County Park. It will feature the chance to build a cozy fairy house, experience storytime, and get involved in workshops on nature crafts. Children can dress up as fairies and gnomes!
