December keeps getting better and better for the people of the Lowcountry. This weekend, we’ll be able to enjoy the Holiday Parade of Boats, which features a display of festive boats along the Cooper River, through Charleston Harbor, and into Ashley River.
Charlestonians are encouraged to decorate their own boat and join the parade, however, yesterday was the last day to sign up.
Take out your lawn chairs and celebrate the best boats of this year. You can sit back and enjoy these lighted boats navigating on the water straight to the North Pole! It’s a family-friendly event and is totally free for viewers.
The event starts in Mount Pleasant at 5:30 pm and the boats will reach the downtown peninsula at around 7:30.
