With Halloween right around the corner, the ooky-spooky Candlelight series returns to Charleston with spine-chilling classical tributes that will transport you to the creepy worlds of Suspiria, Psycho, The Omen, and more. Prepare to enter into a candlelit setting bathed not only in the glow of flickering candles, but also in the frightening spirits of Halloween.
Set in the haungtingly beautiful nave of The Unitarian Church, the oldest Unitarian church in the South, a talented string quartet will perform classical renditions of some of the most familiar Halloween-themed melodies for an unforgettable evening out in “The Holy City”. Settle in for an hour of hair-raising notes and spine-chilling tunes… if you dare.
Candlelight: Best Horror Movie Soundtracks
Another spooky tribute, but this time around this enchanting concert focuses solely on horror movie soundtracks. Think about the films that terrified us when we were young but have quickly become classics during spooky season, including Suspiria, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween and The Shining. Prepare to be dazzled by a sensational performance of soundtracks from these movies and more, by the gifted musicians of the Listeso string quartet.
All upcoming Halloween Candlelight concerts
Candlelight invites everyone to listen to haunting hits this Halloween at The Unitarian Church surrounded by thousands and thousands of candles. Shows will begin in October, with two showtimes each evening, at 6:30 pm and 8:45 pm. Each concert will last 60 minutes and doors open 45 minutes prior to showtime.
