5 Things To Do This In Charleston This August

Beer, music, and ghosts. Make time for all of these activities!

August is a hot and humid month in Charleston, so why not pack up your bathing suit and head up to any of the beaches in and around the city? Many outdoor events will make it impossible for you to get bored. Get ready for some Lowcountry fun!

These are things you can do in Charleston this August:

1. Beer night at the South Carolina Aquarium

The SC Aquarium is hosting an after-hours event where you’ll be able to visit the place while tasting beers from different local breweries. It doesn’t get any better than that!

When: August 16

2. Folly Beach Moonlight Mixer

Enjoy the summer nights at Folly Beach Fishing Pier, where DJ Jim Bowers will make you dance to the rhythm of the best beach music. Food and snacks will be available for purchase at different places at the entrance to the pier.

When: August 16

3. Night Visit To The Haunted Charleston Jail

If it’s too hot for you to go out during the day, do it at night! And there’s no better tour than a scary one. Visit the Haunted Charleston Jail. There are tours organized at night. Will you be lucky enough to see a ghost?

4. Dinner and drinks at Handcraft Kitchen and Cocktails

Visit Handcraft for delicious foods and original cocktails. You won’t want to miss their Wine Wednesdays, including $3 select glasses of wine and live music from local musicians.

5. Saturday beer trolley

Every Saturday an 100% free Trolley begins a shuttle service to different breweries in the Brewery District. The service runs from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Check out all of the stops here.
