Stretch your body, awaken your mind and fuel your spirit in an uplifting, intention-setting yoga class to enhance your day ahead. Charleston County Parks is hosting a sunrise yoga class that will be moving around different county parks around the area.
The first class, which is scheduled for this Saturday, April 9, 2022, will take place at Caw Caw Interpretative Center from 7:00 am to 8:00 am. The teacher will make this class inclusive and open to all abilities and fitness levels.
To sign up, you have to register online at the Charleston County Parks website and pay a $10 fee. You have until Friday, April 8 at 4:00 pm to sign up. If space is available, onsite registration will also be available on the day of the event for an increased fee of $12 per person.
About the instructor
The class will be led by Katie Ann. According to CCP, Katie Ann’s approach to teaching is to meet everyone where they are with kindness and humor. She believes that your mat is your safe space to fully be your authentic self. Her classes focus on connecting you to your breath, keeping you present, and reminding you that doing your best is always enough on and off your mat. Katie Ann is a 200-hour RYT. She teaches all levels, vin yo yin, and beginner yoga classes.
