Even though Prohibition is long gone and there are many bars all across Charleston, something is exciting and mysterious about heading out to a secret location to sip on delicious drinks. Am I right? These options in the city will offer you great ambiance, delicious cocktails and yummy food. 

These five speakeasies hidden in Charleston are a must-visit: 

1.Blind Tiger 

Where: 📍36-38 Broad St 

Blind Tiger is a one-of-a-kind historical pub and courtyard dining. Its vintage ambiance makes you feel like you’re hiding to try their craftmade drinks. Don’t forget to try their oysters and bacon mac and cheese. 

 

2. Prohibition 

Where:  📍547 King St

The name says it all. This is a rustic-chic restaurant with creative cocktails. The atmosphere reminisces the classic Jazz Age. Enjoy their live music and oysters during happy hour. Yum!

 

3. The Griffon

Where: 📍 18 Vendue Range

Get a cold craft beer at the Griffon. The bar’s money-covered walls will make you feel like you’re in a secret bar or casino. They offer delicious American food and British fish and chips. 

 

4. Burns Alley Tavern
