No plans for Labor Day Weekend? You won’t find anything better than this.
You blink, and suddenly, it’s September. And this weekend, we’re celebrating Labor Day with a delicious event at Johns Island.
Did you know? Labor Day pays tribute to the contributions and achievements of American workers, and it’s celebrated the first Monday in September.
If you don’t know where to celebrate this year, we’ve got a great option for you and your family. Estuary Beans and Barley, a venue in Johns Island that offers artisan beverages including beer and coffee along with great food, is hosting a Lowcountry Boil that is too good to be true.
FYI: Lowcountry boil recipes feature shrimp, sausage, corn, and potatoes with Old Bay seasoning cooked in a pot.
Head out from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm to eat, have refreshing drinks, listen to live music, buy trinkets and food at the local farmers market and enjoy the natural surroundings. To buy your tickets, contact them on social media or through their website.
Meanwhile, in Johns Island, you can visit the Angel Oak Tree or have a day full of fun in the water. There are kayaks, sailing boats, paddle tours, and perfect beaches to surf.
