We’re only a few days away from 2022. Celebrate the end of 2021 and the new year’s arrival with new opportunities at the traditional event “Happy New Year, Charleston.”
This is a non-alcoholic event suitable for the whole family. It will occur at the Charleston Visitor Center on Meeting Street on December 31 from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Just in time to toast with your family back home or enjoy the fireworks from the Battery.
Happy New Year, Charleston features live music, entertainment, food trucks, games, and kids’ activities.
This year it includes a variety of cultural programs you can’t miss: comedy, African dancing, classical, gospel and jazz.
About the Charleston Visitor Center
It’s located in a building constructed in stages from 1840 to 1856 known as the old Deans Warehouse in downtown Charleston. After an extensive renovation, which utilized much of the original materials of the building, the Visitor Center opened to the public in May of 1991.
Inside you can find lots of brochures, maps, guides, things to do and a timeline of the city’s history. They also offer a free shuttle that’ll take you around downtown.
