These are six peaceful Charleston spots where you can watch the sunset:
1. Breach Inlet
Where: Sullivan’s Island
Drive over to Breach Inlet and enjoy their fantastic beach before watching the sunset. A perfect place for fishing and harbor cruises.
2. Brittlebank Park
Where: 185 Lockwood Dr
Brittlebank is a quiet, peaceful park situated on the Ashley River. If you’re planning to watch the sunset while having a picnic, this is the perfect place.
3. Waterfront Park
Where: Vendue Range & Concord St Charleston
Take a photo at the pineapple fountain and sit down in an excellent spot to enjoy the sunset. There are great benches to rest and relax and take in the views.
4. Ravenel Bridge
Where: Arthur Ravenel Jr Bridge
The Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge offers one of the most privileged views of the ocean. Walk through the pedestrian lane at sunset. It’s only 2.5 miles in total. There is no plan more romantic than that!
5. Kiawah Island
Where: 25 miles southwest of Charleston
Get away from the city for a few hours. Kiawah is terrific for biking, hiking, and resting at the beach. In addition, there are many delicious dining choices!
6. Dewees Island
Where: Island of Palms, SC
Smell the salt air at Dewees Island. Just a short ferry ride from the Isle of Palms, it’s the perfect place to forget about everything. There are no stores, restaurants, cars, or stoplights. There is no better place to watch the sunset after a long day of fishing and kayaking.
