6 Peaceful Charleston Spots Where You Can Watch The Sunset

Enjoying the last rays of the sun will not be the same after you see them in these Charleston spots.

The transition between day and night is always a magical moment. The colors of the sky, combined with the beachy vibe of our city, are unforgettable visual poetry. Invite your date or a particular person to witness them with you.

These are six peaceful Charleston spots where you can watch the sunset:

1. Breach Inlet

Where: Sullivan’s Island

Drive over to Breach Inlet and enjoy their fantastic beach before watching the sunset. A perfect place for fishing and harbor cruises.

2. Brittlebank Park

Where: 185 Lockwood Dr

Brittlebank is a quiet, peaceful park situated on the Ashley River. If you’re planning to watch the sunset while having a picnic, this is the perfect place.

3. Waterfront Park

Where: Vendue Range & Concord St Charleston

Take a photo at the pineapple fountain and sit down in an excellent spot to enjoy the sunset. There are great benches to rest and relax and take in the views.

4. Ravenel Bridge

Where: Arthur Ravenel Jr Bridge

The Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge offers one of the most privileged views of the ocean. Walk through the pedestrian lane at sunset. It’s only 2.5 miles in total. There is no plan more romantic than that!

5. Kiawah Island

Where: 25 miles southwest of Charleston

Get away from the city for a few hours. Kiawah is terrific for biking, hiking, and resting at the beach. In addition, there are many delicious dining choices!

6. Dewees Island

Where: Island of Palms, SC

Smell the salt air at Dewees Island. Just a short ferry ride from the Isle of Palms, it’s the perfect place to forget about everything. There are no stores, restaurants, cars, or stoplights. There is no better place to watch the sunset after a long day of fishing and kayaking.
